ACADEMIA JU JUTSU · AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT

An art of life,
not merely combat.

Traditional Ju Jutsu taught through biomechanics, physical awareness, disciplined progression and respect for life.

01 / THE FOUNDER'S JOURNEY

The discipline that supported a professional life.

For Carlos A. Andreucci, Ju Jutsu has been a constant foundation throughout his journey as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, biomedical engineer, researcher and educator.

Training developed habits that cross professional boundaries: observing before acting, controlling posture and breathing under pressure, understanding force and movement, adapting when circumstances change, and protecting life through responsible decisions.

“Ju Jutsu helped me build the awareness, composure and resilience that I carried into surgery, engineering, research and teaching.”

HISTORICAL ROOTS

Knowledge travels through practice, teaching and memory.

Academia Ju Jutsu respects the historical continuity of martial-arts learning: principles are demonstrated, practiced with partners, adapted across generations and preserved through the responsibility of instructors and students.

These archival images are presented as part of the academy's educational collection. They remind us that methods evolve, while disciplined practice, observation and transmission remain central.

02 / AWARENESS TRAINING

The body learns to observe, organize and respond.

The Academia Ju Jutsu method prioritizes fundamentals, safety and progressive learning. It connects posture, breathing, balance, distance, strategy and movement rather than reducing Ju Jutsu to isolated techniques or sport performance.

01

Posture & breathing

Build a stable physical base and remain composed while movement and pressure change.

02

Spatial awareness

Read distance, balance, direction and risk before choosing an appropriate response.

03

Efficient movement

Connect feet, hips, spine and arms so technique depends on coordination rather than force alone.

04

Resilience

Practice attention, adaptation and responsible action in demanding but controlled situations.

03 / BIOMECHANICS IN PRACTICE

Whole-body connection makes movement more efficient.

Technique begins from the ground and travels through the kinetic chain. Feet establish direction, hips organize displacement, the spine transfers movement, and the arms complete control. Breathing supports timing, attention and composure.
